LDS athletes in 2012 London Olympics
“And the people of Nephi had waxed strong in the land. They observed to keep..the sabbath day holy unto the Lord.”
Jarom 1:5
Perhaps the ancient American Nephites “waxed strong in the land,” because they kept “the sabbath day holy unto the Lord.” Likewise perhaps some of the strength LDS Olympians receive comes from not practicing sports on Sunday.
Of the 10,500 athletes competing in the 2012 London Olympics, at least 19 are Latter-day Saints.
